November looks to be another busy month here at Pioneer. I'd like to remind you that there is a Foundation Meeting on Thursday, November 6th in the Media Center and an away football game at Leland on Friday, November 7th. JV will begin at 4:30 and varsity will follow at 7:00pm.

Next week we will have a S period on Monday, November 10th and NO SCHOOL on Tuesday, November 11th, Veteran's Day. Our football game will be played on Thursday, November 13th at Live Oak. JV will play at 4:30 and varsity at 7:00pm.

The following week there is an Athletic Boosters meeting at 7:00pm on Wednesday, November 19th in the Media Center. Thursday, November 20th in the Media Center we will have a SELAC meeting at 6:00pm followed by a PTSA meeting at 7:00pm. Friday, November 21st is an Inservice Day and no school for students.

We'll culminate the month with NO SCHOOL on Thursday and Friday, November 27th and 28th for the Thanksgiving Holidays.

Hello Mustangs,
Our Herff Jones representative will be on campus to take your class ring orders this Thursday and Friday at lunch in the quad. You may also place your order Thursday evening from 5:00-7:00 in the Pioneer library. If you did not receive your Herff Jones mailer, please ask your child to pick up a brochure in Student Services.

Please join us this Friday evening at 7:00 for Pioneer's football game against Oak Grove. Both teams are undefeated, and Coach Krail promises it will be an exciting evening of competition and sportsmanship! Don't forget to wear blue!


Back to School Night is scheduled for this Thursday evening, September 25th. There will be an opportunity to visit with our PTSA, Foundation and Athletic Booster groups from 5:30-5:45 pm in the quad. At 5:45 pm there will be a brief introduction of the administrative team and our parent group leaders. Classrooms will open at 6:00 pm. Each class meeting will last 10 minutes and then parents will have 5 minutes to find their student’s next class.

Our first SELAC meeting of the year will take place on Thursday, September 25th at 5:30 pm in the Library, prior to Back to School Night. This meeting is for parents of students who are second language learners.

Our fall academic awards ceremony will take place on Thursday, October 2nd. Invitations have been mailed to parents of students who will be receiving an award.

On September 27-28th Pioneer’s Free E-Waste Fundraiser will take place in the back parking lot, from 9AM -4PM.~ If you have any obsolete technology this is the place to take it.

Hello, this is Sue Walker, Principal at Pioneer High School. I’d like to remind you about upcoming September events. Wednesday, September 17th at 7:00pm our Athletic Boosters will be meeting in the Media Center.

Thursday, September 18th, Ninth grade Academic Night in the Media Center begins at 6:00pm followed by PTSA at 7:00pm. The week will culminate with three football games against Terra Nova, with the Varsity game at 7:00pm under the Pioneer lights.
