Lonny Weissman teaches Algebra and Geometry at Pioneer High School. He earned his bachelor’s degree from San Jose State University, began teaching in 2000, and has been at Pioneer since 2002.

Mr. Weissman was born in Bronx, New York, and moved to southern California as a child. His extensive travels have taken him to five of the seven continents. Following a 3-year stint in the Army, Mr. Weissman rode his Harley 45 Knucklehead along the West Coast, and eventually settled in the Bay Area. His work outside of academia includes jobs with Northwest Pacific Railroad, General Motors, and IBM.

When he’s not teaching math or advising Pioneer’s robotics team, Lonny likes to watch ice hockey and spend time with his wife and two dogs.
