Michelle Ritter teaches freshman English and junior honors English. She is also in charge of Pioneer’s newspaper, The Pony Express.  This is her ninth year at Pioneer and her fifteenth year teaching overall. She has a California Single Subject Teaching Credential in English with CLAD emphasis. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Tennessee in 1994 and received her Masters Degree in 1996. She was voted Teacher of the Year at Pioneer in 2001 and is currently the varsity girls volleyball coach, arobotics team volunteer, and advisor for the Senior Exhibition. She loves the outdoors and is a bit of an adventurer (having recently gone skydiving and on safari in Africa). Her interests include scrapbooking, travel and reading and she lives in San Jose with her husband, four year old daughter and year old son.
