Mr. McMahon attended San José Unified schools throughout his primary and secondary education. He double-majored in mathematics and economics and earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of San Francisco where he was awarded the Dean’s Medal for Excellence in the Sciences. His Master of Arts in Mathematics Education and his Single Subject Credential in Mathematics were earned at the University of California, Berkeley. Mr. McMahon has had the pleasure of working with students at both the middle and high school levels in pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, and calculus classes and he was honored as San José Unified’s Teacher of the Year for 2005-2006. Mr. McMahon enjoys teaching mathematics and feels fortunate to be working at Pioneer. In his words, “Pioneer is an excellent high school with outstanding students, a dedicated staff, and a supportive community”.
