Hello, my name is Bryan LaCaille and I teach Algebra and AP Calculus AB. I have been teaching here at Pioneer since 2004, and in the San Jose Unified District since 1999. I graduated from UCLA in 1996 with a Bachelors Degree in History (a good story, ask me about it sometime!!) and received a Masters in Education in 1999.
I was born aand raised in the Pacific Northwest (it really doesn't rain as much as people think), and then came to California to attend UCLA. I am still an avid Seattle sports fan, and make several trips each year to see my family and catch the Seahawks games. I am a Disney fanatic (as anyone who enters my classroom can tell), and worked the Jungle Cruise at Disneyland for two years during college, so I excel at telling bad jokes with impeccable timing, a tactic I use often in class. If you are ready to work hard and have fun, then we are going to have a very successful year.
I also enjoy coaching both girls' volleyball and basketball here at Pioneer, and hope that as many of you as possible will come out for the teams.
I love it here at Pioneer, and I hope you will too!!
Go Mustangs! Go Bruins! Go Seahawks!
