Rick Austin teaches Conceptual Physics and Engineering Science and Technology (EST). He earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering at California State Polytechnic University (Pomona) in 1972. He worked as a design engineer at Hewlett-Packard and a Project Engineer at Trimble Navigation and a few startup companies in between. He has started his teaching career at Pioneer High School and this is his seventh year teaching. He received his teaching credential from the California State University Monterey Bay and has a clear credential with CLAD in Physics. He is single and enjoys building furniture, wild life photography, traveling and hiking.
