Rick Austin teaches Conceptual Physics.  He earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering at California State Polytechnic University (Pomona) in 1972.  He worked as a design engineer at Hewlett-Packard, a Project Engineer at Trimble Navigation and a few startup companies in between.  He started his teaching career at Pioneer High School and this is his ninth year at Pioneer High School.  He received his teaching credential from California State University Monterey Bay and has a clear credential with CLAD in Physics.  He is single and enjoys woodworking, photography, traveling and hiking.
